Mechanical Draftsman

Job Duties
- Producing layouts and schematics of heating and cooling systems (pipework and equipment)
- Producing layouts and schematics of ventilating systems (ductwork and equipment)
- Read and interpret technical plans as well as laying out a technically correct plan under the direction of an engineer
- Edit and make changes in AutoCAD and Revit as necessary for projects
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
- Prepare electronic (pdf’s, dwg, BIM models, etc.) and hard-set packages for client use
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
- MS Office skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing drawings
